Interesting notice in Variety this morning. There is a movieunder development about the girl group The Runaways. Joan Jett is a producer, Kristen Stewart is contracted to play Jett, and Dakota Fanning is in talks to play Cheri Currie, who fronted the band and became an addict.
How should we feel about this? No idea.
Fanning is now 15 and has already (Hounddog) tried to break out of the child star box. This seems like a good way to do it, but let’s see how much of an uproar it causes when Everyone’s Little Girl is shown drinking and injecting.
