Story lacking in not-so-scary fairy tale

I’m not afraid of the big bad wolf, but I am afraid we’re going to endure many more movies like this.

  1. I always thought it would be a neat twist to make Red be the Wolf (kind alike a Jekyll/Hyde thing). That done well would be interesting.
    But yeah, this movie just sounds stupid.

  2. They leave that possibly open for a while, but about midway she ‘speaks’ to it. So that ain’t happening. Where you’re right on the money is that they could have explored duality or even the torment caused by loving the monster in some way, but they don’t. You chose the perfect adjective: “stupid.”
